AGSI is the only manufacturer among this year’s recognised companies to receive the Chamber’s highest sustainability distinction.
Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has received the Diamond Sustainability Label from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the highest level under the Chamber’s Sustainability Program.
The recognition acknowledges AGSI’s commitment to sustainable business practices and its contribution to Abu Dhabi’s vision for a resilient and responsible economy.
AGSI was also the only manufacturer among this year’s recognised companies, giving the recognition particular relevance for the industrial sector and the role manufacturing can play in raising sustainability standards and contributing to long-term environmental and economic progress.
Asam Hussain, CEO of Arabian Gulf Steel Industries said: “Receiving the Diamond Sustainability Label is a meaningful recognition of the progress AGSI has made and of the role industry can play in raising sustainability standards. For steel, reducing emissions and creating long-term value must move together, and that is the path we continue to pursue in the UAE.”
The Diamond Sustainability Label adds to AGSI’s record of independent recognition for its sustainability performance and its contribution to industrial decarbonisation in the UAE.
The recognition was presented during the official Sustainability Label Recognition Ceremony at LIVEX 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The ceremony brought together companies recognised under the Abu Dhabi Chamber Sustainability Label programme.
