Showcasing Net Zero steel, strategic partnerships, and industrial collaboration at the UAE’s leading manufacturing platform Region
AGSI concluded a high-impact presence at Make it in the Emirates 2025, the UAE’s leading platform for industrial innovation and national manufacturing.
Held from May 19 to 22 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi, this marked AGSI’s second consecutive year participating, reaffirming its leadership in sustainable steel and contribution to the country’s Net Zero and industrial goals. The event, hosted by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, drew key industrial players, investors, and policymakers.
AGSI’s participation reflected its central role in supporting the UAE’s Net Zero ambitions and driving the future of sustainable manufacturing. Designed as more than an exhibition space, AGSI’s booth served as an architectural statement, with an immersive room at its core that brought to life the company’s journey towards circular, low-emission steel. Through this experience, visitors were invited to engage with the vision behind AGSI’s process and the future it’s helping to shape.
Throughout the four-day forum, AGSI took part in several high-level engagements.
As part of the Industrialist Program, the company joined the national conversation on talent development, reinforcing its commitment to creating long-term opportunities for Emiratis in the industrial sector.
The event also featured a dedicated panel on “Pioneering Low Emission Steel in the Emirates,” where AGSI CEO Asam Hussain shared his perspective on the economic levers influencing the competitiveness of sustainable steel, and the policy mechanisms that could help close the cost gap for low-emission materials.
“Make it in the Emirates continues to be a powerful platform to align industrial capability with national priorities,” said Asam Hussain, CEO of AGSI. “For us, it’s not only about showcasing products, but about contributing to the conversations that shape the UAE’s industrial future, one that is low-carbon, self-reliant, and built for long-term impact.”
AGSI’s participation underscored its broader mission to advance the UAE’s position as a global industrial leader, while setting a new standard for how steel can serve both economic and environmental goals.
AGSI also took part in a focused Industrial Transition Accelerator (ITA) roundtable hosted in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. The session convened key government and industrial players to address challenges within the raw materials supply chain, with discussions centered on improving waste management, enhancing cross-sector collaboration, and aligning sustainability efforts with national regulatory frameworks. AGSI shared its perspective as the UAE’s leading recycler and private steelmaker, emphasizing the importance of integrating locally sourced raw materials into sustainable steel production.
AGSI remains committed to advancing the UAE’s industrial ambitions through sustainable innovation, strategic collaboration, and future-ready manufacturing.
