Arabian Gulf Steel Industries receives an award in the Large Business Category for its commitment to sustainability, innovation and responsible business practices
Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has received an award in the Large Business Category at the 19th Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards, organised by Arabia CSR Network. The ceremony brought together organisations from across the Arab region to celebrate achievements in corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
The recognition acknowledges AGSI’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and responsible business practices, and its efforts to deliver meaningful environmental and social impact through its operations.
As the UAE’s largest private steelmaker and recycler, AGSI operates the world’s first certified carbon-neutral steel plant and the first Net Zero Steel manufacturing facility in the Middle East and North Africa. The award adds to the company’s recognition for its environmental performance and commitment to responsible industrial production.
Beyond its environmental performance, AGSI’s commitment to responsible business extends to workplace safety, employee development and community initiatives, contributing to its overall corporate social responsibility efforts.
Established in 2008, the Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards recognise organisations across the Arab region for their achievements in corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Now in their 19th cycle, the awards provide a platform for recognising leadership, innovation and responsible business practices across different industries.
