Recognition highlights AGSI’s leadership in energy efficiency and its commitment to supporting the UAE’s sustainability and Net Zero objectives
Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has been recognised for its active contribution to energy efficiency efforts across the sector and to the UAE’s broader sustainability agenda at the Industrial Efficiency Central Conference hosted by TAQA Distribution. The acknowledgement reflects AGSI’s ongoing leadership within TAQA’s Energy Efficiency Clubs programme and its continued role in advancing efficient, responsible, and innovation-driven industrial operations.
The recognition was presented as part of TAQA’s Energy Efficiency Clubs programme, which brought together representatives from all three clubs, gathering industrial leaders to exchange insights, showcase best practices, and strengthen collective efforts toward improved energy performance and sustainability across the UAE’s industrial ecosystem.

As a proud member of the Energy Efficiency Clubs and host of the AGSI chapter, Arabian Gulf Steel Industries joined contributed to the discussions through insights on efficiency practices, collaborative initiatives, and the company’s ongoing work to support nationwide industrial sustainability.

During the conference, Chief Financial Officer Gyaneshwar Tripathi presented AGSI’s Net Zero Journey, outlining the company’s progress in integrating efficiency and innovation into sustainable steel production.
His presentation highlighted AGSI’s electrified steelmaking model, resource-efficient operations, and alignment with national climate and industrial development objectives.

The Industrial Efficiency Central Conference forms part of TAQA’s wider initiative to enhance energy performance and operational excellence within the UAE’s industrial landscape, supporting national ambitions under the UAE Net Zero 2050 strategic pathway.
