Recognition highlights AGSI’s net-zero steel production and collaboration within KEZAD’s industrial ecosystem
The recognition highlighted AGSI’s achievement in establishing the first net-zero steel manufacturing plant in the MENA region, as well as becoming the first steel producer globally to achieve verified carbon neutrality. This milestone reflects AGSI’s continued focus on low-carbon industrial operations, responsible resource utilisation, and environmentally conscious steel production.
AGSI’s sustainability journey has been supported by its long-standing presence within KEZAD’s industrial ecosystem, where coordinated infrastructure and waste management frameworks have enabled efficient scrap handling, recycling pathways, and integrated industrial operations. This collaboration has contributed to AGSI’s ability to operate at scale using 100% recycled raw materials while maintaining high environmental performance.
