Enabling carbon reduction and delivering scalable industrial innovation across the built environment

Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trojan Construction Group to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon materials and sustainable construction practices across the UAE. The agreement was formalized during Make it in the Emirates 2025, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to national decarbonization targets and responsible growth.

Under the MoU, AGSI’s low-carbon steel, produced using locally sourced recycled raw materials will be integrated into Trojan’s upcoming projects to reduce embodied emissions and support circularity. In addition to material supply, the agreement sets a framework for collaboration on research and development, performance monitoring, and industry training, extending the partnership’s impact across operations, innovation, and workforce development.

Asam Hussain, Chief Executive Officer of AGSI, stated: “Trojan is a leader in the UAE’s construction sector, and this collaboration is an example of how industrial and infrastructure players can align to deliver real, measurable sustainability outcomes. At AGSI, we’ve built our entire model around local sourcing, circularity, and carbon reduction, and partnerships like this are how those principles scale across the value chain. We look forward to supporting Trojan’s ESG commitments through both product and innovation, and to contributing together to the UAE’s broader Net Zero and industrial goals.”

AGSI’s proven sustainability practices further strengthen Trojan’s ability to meet global and local standards. With verified emissions and robust reporting systems, the partnership enables a collaborative approach to tracking environmental performance and carbon reduction in Trojan’s construction projects, offering transparency and traceability across the value chain. It also contributes to Trojan’s ICV objectives and supports national goals.

This collaboration reflects a joint ambition to develop scalable, real-world solutions that advance the future of sustainable construction in the UAE.
