Arabian Gulf Steel Industries secures its third industry recognition this month for its verified emissions performance and sector-wide contribution.

Arabian Gulf Steel Industries (AGSI) has received the Best ESG Industrial Program Award at CARE 2025 MENA, marking the company’s third industry recognition this month. The award acknowledges the outcomes and practices that continue to shape AGSI’s contribution to the UAE’s industrial landscape and the wider regional steel sector.

The CARE Awards recognise organisations implementing measurable, verifiable, and sector-relevant ESG initiatives. For AGSI, the award reflects the discipline behind its emissions performance, the integration of circular input materials, and the company’s commitment to maintaining independently verified data across its operations.

Commenting on the recognition, Asam Hussain, CEO of AGSI, said:

Low-carbon steel is becoming central to the region’s development plans, and this has been a core priority for AGSI from the outset. Independent verification of our emissions performance has strengthened confidence in what we deliver and is influencing expectations in a hard-to-abate sector. Receiving a third award this month recognises the contribution we are making to this shift.”

AGSI’s work has contributed to raising expectations around emissions performance in a sector historically defined by high carbon intensity. Through independently verified production practices and a focus on sustained reductions, AGSI continues to support the UAE’s industrial development goals and the region’s wider movement toward lower-emissions materials.

The Best ESG Industrial Program Award follows two earlier recognitions this month, reinforcing AGSI’s position as a company advancing credible decarbonisation in heavy industry. As demand for low-carbon construction materials grows, AGSI remains committed to providing solutions that can meet the region’s scale and performance requirements with verified emissions data.
