2024 Net Zero Steel Plant facility – GHG Independent Verification Statement for Steel Manufacturing Facility in Abu Dhabi

AGSI has been investing in the decarbonization initiatives and improvement of the steel plant and working to deliver its sustainability commitment. The decarbonization efforts are a result of our investments in continuous improvements in efficiency of our steel operations, electrification, transition from fossil-fuel to energy, energy efficiency initiatives, and technological advancements, to name a few.

In 2024, our Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint was 0.162 tCO₂e/tcs, maintaining our position as the only steel producer in the region achieving Net Zero steel production.

An independent third-party global auditing company, has verified AGSI’s greenhouse.

Carbon Neutrality – AGSI Achieves Carbon Neutrality for its Steel Facility in Abu Dhabi

In 2024, AGSI achieved Carbon Neutrality of steelmaking operations for Steel Plant Facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in accordance with PAS 2060 for a period of January 2024 – December 2024 with the commitment to maintain to 31st December 2030.

Our declaration of carbon neutrality has been externally assured by DNV.
